About Lactation Navigation
Lactation Navigation is a woman-owned, privately held LLC founded by Wendy Wright, IBCLC, in 2007. Based in the Bay Area, we provide a comprehensive range of services including design and installation of lactation rooms, lactation consulting offered on-site to directly assist the new mothers return to work, lactation policy review, update or design, educational programming and newsletters, and web based social networking for lactating mothers.
Our lactation consultants are knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. We work with both large and small organizations to creatively and effectively meet their needs and interests. We work closely with each client to design the lactation program that will best meet the needs of returning employees.

Sheila is the mother of three breastfed children, business owner and lactation trendsetter.
Wendy is a breastfeeding mother of two, successful biotech marketer and entrepreneur.
Both are Board Certified Lactation Consultants ready to take your business to the next level of employee productivity, satisfaction and morale all while saving health care dollars.
More about Wendy: Wendy spent 15 years in the biotech industry in the Bay Area and worldwide prior to breaking out on her own and founding Lactation Navigation in 2007. Wendy has a B.S. in Health Services Administration from the University of Arizona and an MBA with a Marketing emphasis from the University of Cincinnati. Wendy’s daughter is ten and her son is three. Both kids love to swim and enjoy bicycling. She is dreadfully fearful of spiders and enjoys spicy food any time of day. Lactation Navigation allows Wendy to combine skills learned in the corporate setting over the past 15 years with her love of breastfeeding. It allows her to spend time with her children and also with new mothers. It also encourages health and happiness for other families, and brings bottom-line profits to progressive companies.

More About Sheila: Sheila has been involved in the field of reproductive maternal and child health for over 20 years. Initially working in public health, Sheila shifted her focus to babies and moms and a lactation career after having three children. Sheila has a B.S. in Community Health from SFSU and a MPH with a thesis on Breastfeeding for the Working Mom and/or Student from San Jose State University. Lactation Navigation allows Sheila to provide accurate, supportive and comprehensive breastfeeding support to breastfeeding families and to provide increasing access to breastfeeding services to working moms everywhere.
